I personally think touch is very healing, so my answer would be that yes, it might help. People have been doing it for thousands of years, so there must be a reason eh? It can also help you release tense spots in your body, which could help with the symptoms. If I recall correctly, there are also studies to support the idea that it helps manage depression and anxiety (not sure about PTSD), but I wouldn't want to state anything more firm than that because I really can't fully recall!

Something related to massage that I've heard people try (haven't tried it myself though) is progressive muscle relaxation. You do it on yourself, so it's good when you can't see a massage therapist for whatever reason. I imagine if you google it, you'll find instructions and more information.
