It does seem like there are more and more young people with serious problems these days. I think it's a lack of faith, structure and solid parenting myself.
Glad you found some way to deal with mom. I do that too. I found as long as I am there she doesn't really notice that I am not listening. That makes me sad but what can you do. I guess I just accepted that as who she is. We can't change or really do anything for them.
I know how this is making you feel and I feel bad for you cause I hate to see people go thru this. I know it just sucks.
