Yes, I believe many of these men (not all) think that society is wrong, and that it's normal, as radio_flyer is saying NAMBLA asserts, for children to explore their sexuality. These men know society says it's wrong, that the vast majority of people know it's wrong, but some of them actually think they're right and society is wrong. Yes, they rationalize it, and again, I'm NOT saying all or even most don't know it's wrong. But there are some who genuinely think that having sex with children is ok. They hide their actions and tell children not to tell because they know they will get in trouble. They know it's against the law, but they don't think it should be. It's disgusting and twisted. They know it's wrong according to society and the law, but they don't think it's wrong themselves. That's what I mean.

DO NOT think I'm making excuses for these men, or that they shouldn't be punished to the fullest extent possible. I'm not saying what they believe should have anything to do with what should be done to them. I absolutely believe these people (I shouldn't just say men, actually) deserve physical and mental harm, just as they've done to a child. If it were my child, I'd want to rip them apart.

I hope that someday, we can identify these people before they harm even one child. But to do that, we have to understand how their minds work. That doesn't mean we have to let them get away with their crimes or get a lesser punishment. As I've stated before, I think they deserve much harsher punishments than they're often getting.

I am NOT sympathetic to pedophiles and predators. Don't make that mistake. I don't care if these men and women were molested and raped as children--I can feel sorry for them that that happened, but I do not care that it happened if they, in turn, harm a child.

On the plastic surgery issue, I agree, it's sad that women are often made to feel that they need to look younger to be considered beautiful. I feel this way. Still, I can't imagine doing something that may harm your enjoyment of sex just to please a man. And, from what I've seen, it's not most men who feel this way. Some men, and possibly more women, make other women feel they need to do this. I know a lot of men who like women in various shapes and sizes, and ages.
