It doesn't matter what that thang is, it has to come out. So, organize yourself around that. She's going to be a little discomforted by the surgery. She may be temporarily incontinent. She may need your help, at her side.

The rest, you will know, in time. You have to let your head have a moment or two to ponder the implications of this news, but don't let it get stuck there. This will be lived in a series of todays, and getting your head stuck in tomorrow is only going to waste precious time today.
