Hi, I'm also new.
I
can empathize a little with you. I am also 19 and I have battled with depression since I started grade school. I was, until recently, a student at the University of Alberta, but since I was spending most of my days in bed or waiting time in front of a computer or television screen and not in classes or looking at textbooks, I dropped out of school, although I was only a semester away from expulsion. Luckily, my parents both understood my situation, both having suffered from depression, and were willing to support me emotionally and financially for a few weeks before I went out looking for a job. Right now I am working 20-30hrs/week and will, if things do not go south in the mean time, enrol at a community college in September to once again attempt further education. Do not think you are not worth listening too, and believe that life will get better.
