How long have you two been married? How old are your children? Are they grown?
Have you tried marriage counseling? It would seem a terrible injustice to just throw years away without trying everything you can to save this marriage -- unless you just don't LOVE him anymore. Besides being somewhat needy, he sounds like a nice guy! He provides for you, doesn't abuse you, doesn't run around on you, and is "dedicated" to you. Sounds like you're bored.
Why not just develop some of your own interests? A hobby, an aerobics class, etc. Or maybe you and your husband can find something you both are interested in that you could do together. Maybe you're just not communicating -- counseling can help with that too.
