((((Soupdragon))))
My condolences on the loss of your father. I don't see a need to attend a spiritualist church because it sounds like your connection with your father is already strong. Your father is no longer in your life, but he lives on in your heart.
I moved back to my old family home shortly after my parents died. My son was 7 at the time. A friend of his spent the night with us, and the two boys were playing a game of hide and seek. To make the game more interesting, they turned off all the lights. My husband and I were in the bedroom, when all of a sudden the friend let out a blood-curdling scream in our kitchen. We rushed over to the kid, and he was shaking.
He said he was going to hide in our laundry room next to the kitchen, but he got scared because he saw an old man looking at him through the window of the laundry room door.
He said the man was wearing a policeman's hat, and he was smiling at him. My son immediately spoke up and said "Oh, that's just my grandpa - he used to like to play this game too. He won't hurt you."
My father wasn't a policeman - he worked as a crossing guard after he retired, but the hat is very similar.
I personally don't believe that human intervention is necessary when it comes to spiritual connections with our loved ones. Every once in a while I can feel their presence, but I do not believe they are "trapped" or in need of help to move on from this world.
My father used to tell me I have a LOT of spirit. When I am gone, I have every intention of watching over my friends and loved ones from the other side - and to those who don't believe or are afraid of "ghosts," I'll watch from a distance,
