I too had great reviews until I was diagnosed and had to tell them. I'd never been reprimanded but my reviews got increasingly worse.
We had to cut many things but unemployment kept us afloat. So did eBay (I sold everything we didn't want or need) and Farmers' Markets (so cheap!)
If you have the time, do your homework. Find out about the HR laws where you live. Are you in the US?
