I honestly don't know. I know that with a lot of time of NO SI it will get less triggering. My best example is knives. For the first couple years without SI, I couldn't let myself use them (made cooking difficult) or scissors normally. Now I use them all the time and it's not bad, but every now and then I still have really really really bad days and then I don't touch them or staplers or basically anything.
