I just want to let you know that I am thinking of you and that you are in my thoughts. You are definitely strong, and that you are here to tell about it is evidence of that.
One thing that was recently suggested to me was to create a place in your minds eye where those awful and real experiences are reoccurring to you. A place where you feel safe, even if it is made up.
It sounded silly at first, but I tell you what, I tried it, and I actually fell asleep for once without awful images in my mind. (it took a while, but eventually it worked.)
What helped me was imagining tactile things, like wrapping my arms around a big fluffy malamute by a river and my shoes off so that I can feel the grass at my feet. Weird, but works. (at least for me, for now.)
(I don't even know if this will help you, but I was willing to try anything to get the images and flashbacks out of my head)
