I wore a Holter monitor for 24 hours. It wasn't too uncomfortable. The set up did not prevent me from doing anything, except for showering. Dressing was a slight challenge, due to the wires.

Placing the electrodes was an interesting experience. The technologist cleaned the areas with rubbing alcohol and rubbed them with what felt like sandpaper. The discomfort was slight. (I think this is done to rid dead skin cells that can cause an electrode to come off.) She attached the electrodes with some kind of glue and tape.

Sleeping wasn't the best, because I was afraid the electrodes would come off. I ended up sleeping flat on my back, rather than on my side, with the monitor beside me.
