I have had terrible experiences in high school too (people being hypocritical and excluding and making fun of those of us who were new kids at the school or those of us who had no interest in parties, drinking or smoking) and in the end I couldn't take it and I had to cut all ties with people who thought "everything was so cool and we were all happy and we all got along great". For the most part, the high school experience was such a trigg for me because of my social phobia and social anxiety. I know my situation it's not the same as yours. Just wanted to say I know what it feels like not wanting to remember high school.
