I am diagnosed with schizophrenia and at one point carried a diagnosis of DID for a short time before the diagnosis was changed back to schizophrenia. I believe that in psychosis my personality broke and appeared as dissociative identity disorder but it pulled back together somewhat.

Anyway, during my time online I've come across many people with illness. A woman approached me about seven years ago through a blog I wrote. We started a correspondence but I feel she's been mocking me. When I would become symptomatic she suddenly began complaining of the same symptoms though she never had a diagnosis or said she didn't at the time.

Now she is telling me she has DID and I am guessing she is using this as an excuse for her poor behaviour with me. She suddenly says she's had a diagnosis for years and has "a hundred+" personalities (her words.)

Is this possible? How could one be aware of that many alters? Or do you think she is not only mocking those who suffer from schizophrenia but those who suffer from true DID as well.

Thanks for your time. Be well everyone.
