I'm GLAD you got these feeling out before you let them get TOO deep inside!  It's best to air them early!
I'm sorry your friend is ill, but that doesn't mean "the end." They have made HUGE strides in cancer, so please don't obsess about it, ok?
And it's wonderful you got outside! That does us all SO much good. When we begin to feel a bit low, that''s the best prescription. How can we feel bad when we see the blue sky, the trees & birds, etc? LOL It's the prefect cure for me.
