yea its possible and does happen. Many many survivors find themselves in abusive relationship. It starts out harmless and hearts and flowers and one day the person realizes its a dangerious situation and needs to get out of it. I landed in such a relationship. I loved the man to his death but the bottom line was having him in my life was not healthy for me or my child. As much as I loved him I had to do what was right by my child and myself. I still have problems from that relationship but I am able to put it in perspctive and go on with my life. Give it time it will happen for you too.
