I keep thinking about this thread and can't seem to let go of it.
It provides me with a sence of hope..
I've decided I must again go "back to the basics" at leaste for now. The past 2 years have been hard and I HAD to force myself to do things even when I did not feel capable of doing them. At the time it felt so overwhelming, how to deal with finances, finding a job, raising a child, restraining orders, court dates, ect...and of coarse the anxiety and pain associated with all of that.
What got me through that as silly as this sounds was write daily goals. They were as simple as go grocery shopping, feed baby, spend 1 hour quality time with newborn where nothing else mattered, make dr. appt, go to dr. appt, find T, go to appt with T, find bankrupcy atty, go to appt.go to court, ect, ect, ect. Simple basic daily to do lists. Over the coarse of a year I see the results.
I have also noticed now that when I stopped doing that things slipped, I MUST start doing that again in the hopes of continuing moving forward. It is easy to become overwhelmed. Finding a way to take back control and set a path in a positive manner is possible and is not going to happen overnight.
I for one am starting again with my daily lists, they have changed as have my needs but sitting still is not an option.
