Taking drugs sure isn't going to help things -- I think you've found that out. If you become addicted, you'll be in DEEP trouble. And when you come 'down' from them, you're in worse shape than before.

To put it mildly, depression sucks. If at all possible, seek help from a therapist. I know what it's like to have those racing thoughts, and the "voices" in your head! It's enough to drive you insane! A good therapist can help you alot. I've been in therapy off and on most of my adult life, and it's done me a world of good. It wasn't just for depression, so you wouldn't have to go as long as I did.

If you can't afford a therapist, at LEAST see the counselor at your school. Every school has counselors, and they'd be happy to talk to you. It's confidential too, so don't worry about that.
