for the flip side of the coin, I have been taking Wellbutrin and so far it had been the only thing I have been taking that has done any good for me at all.
I had a big problem with lack of energy and that's why they added the wellbutrin. I am still having a big problem but before the wellbutrin i was literally in bed all day.
it does bother my sleep though. I am fine as long as i take it early. in fact although i'm still having sleep problems, these are mostly "scheduling" problems and i am no longer regularly insomniatic and when i sleep i feel in the morning like i've had a good sleep.
i recently went to a higher dose of wellbutrin but instead of the once-a-day xl they switched me to the sr twice a day. the timing of the second dose was very critical for me, if i took it too late in the afternoon it was affecting my sleep again. i saw the doc today and asked him to switch me back to the xl.
like any of these meds they can be "miracle cures" or they can be "disasters". I think it is good to get opinions from others but you have to remember that they might not have the same effect on you. don't get too put off on trying something, as long as you trust your doctor you don't want to let someone else's experience keep you from trying something that might help you.
For the record I was on 350, the increased dose was 400 (200 twice a day) and now I am going to 450 all in the morning. I'll let you know if the increased dose is "too much" for me or if i have a bad experience with it.
