I figure I spent over 30 years in a part of the world that isn't exactly ridden with fine weather. When I moved to where I am now I was stunned at the heat and great weather. I haven't tanned purposefully before but have for about the last 5 years. And a year or two when I first got here. Yes the whole blanket in the backyard/radio/cold drinks etc. Most years I was too busy to consider the sun or at a stage where I didn't want to be out much regardless.

I feel like a noid somewhat but I just can't get over how dark I get. I'm a white feller...Irish/English roots and not dark complected to begin with. Like i said earlier...I don't burn easily I just get brown...really fast. No special goop no nothing...just skin and sun. I expect I'll do it again this year as I'm not working right now. Probably won't do it too many more times. To the extent I've been doing it anyway. It DOES make ones skin look better to have a LITTLE sun even tho the risks are there.

I'll be pretty dark this time nxt month. Actually at Xmas the doc who took out my gall bladder asked me if I'd just got back from down south. Heh...I told him it was from the summer...dunno if he believed me. I guess I was still pretty dark.
