Also, I want to touch on the maternal instinct topic. I've NEVER had any maternal or domestic inclination EVER. My daughter is teaching me how to play with dolls, THAT'S how far back I've been unmaternal. Being a female does N0T automatically make you mother material. Maternal knowledge does not flood you once you give birth, that's pure BS to those of us without that instinct... What did flood me tho, was an abundance of unconditional love and fierce protection, the knowledge that I would gladly give my life to protect her. I kid you not. It has been an 8yr long learning curve, HARD hard work, 2nd guessing myself, questioning the quality of my nurturing skills, meltdowns,BUT, it has been WORTH IT!
