I've actually read a lot about psychosis that says that psychotic people see MORE of reality than people with other kinds of operating methods . . . it's just that we also get so much information from the world (because of all the reality we experience) that we start trying to build systems and integrate it all . . . and when we fail, we get psychotic breaks and hallucinations and stuff.
Apparently people who aren't psychotic are better at ignoring extraneous reality stuff.
