I agree with the other folks. I have had a number of colonoscopies, since colon cancer runs in my family. It's just the prep that's the aggravation. Taking all that stuff to clear out the colon. The doc just has me briefly under sedation, enough to get the job done, (and I am asleep, so I don't see my colon), and they wake me up right afterwards. And I just need a ride home.

Can you talk to your doc about these concerns? Maybe they can do something differently. And do take your "comfort" along. Whatever gets you through!
