My boss does the same thing, but add on top of it that he throws things at walls or kicks stuff around (work at a steel shop). I think he has some issues himself but don't judge a book by its cover. But I know how you feel. Its a really demotivating situation cause for me personally, I just want to get out of the shop and stay away till he calms down but I don't know if he ever does, he just goes back to his office and doesn't come back down the rest of the day.
