Hi All.
I was taking 450 mg of Buproprion for about 2 years or more and my depression got a LOT better. I started to notice that I would get the sinking, falling, brain zap-like feeling about 6-8 hours after taking the meds. It was extremely uncomfortable and distracting to the point that I had to cut back to 300 mg. The "zaps" were not as severe but still very much there. So, I started to take the pills about an hour or 2 before bed so that I would be asleep when the symptoms started. This seemed to be working except the depression crept back in. I added Lexapro and soon after the generic for it and started experiencing all kinds of side effects and had to come off it. So now I am in the withdrawal phase of that. I would really like to find a way to tolerate the Buproprion at 450mg as that seemed to work best. Any research I've done on the "zaps" only talk about them in relation to withdrawal but I had them while on the med.
Any advice?
