I think people come back to things that "torture" them because of a need to overcome their "torture" or to accomplish something. I'm kind of in a similar situation, being single and feeling like I don't fit in this world of "couples". I happen to think it's because I'm ugly and not very desirable, but that's beside the point.

I saw your website. Very nice. I like it. (I'm also an INFJ, btw.) And, I was a graphic designer in a former work life. We have a lot in common.
