Seeker - Even the original poster joined in the debate and offered her thoughts. We're well within our right to discuss the issue as we see fit, and have had a meaningful exchange of ideas. Furthermore, people have taken the time to actually look into the other side and try to take an understanding about the site and the video, where as you take a biased and uninformed higher moral ground. You have no right to imply that people are insane for not taking your stance on this topic.
Lynn - Personally, I am very adamant about the freedom of expression, so yes I think those videos should be allowed. As it stands I feel that in we already have too many exceptions to freedom of expression laws. I understand why you were upset by stumbling upon that and I'm sorry for it, but at the end of the day we cannot make an exception to the rule because a group of people may be upset by it.
At the end of the day we lead very different lives and will have different views based on generation, family life, career, education etc etc and I respect that. I'm just usually good at playing devil's advocate, or in cases like this standing back enough to see a different perspective. I too hope that Magnotta is found guilty and punished to the full extent of the law. Unfortunately, our justice system is too lenient and I'm worried about his lawyer pleading insanity. Something tells me they won't get away with pleading not guilty.
