Depression sucks. It just does. I try to pick one thing to do, and just do that. A couple of weeks ago, it was just getting up to get on the computer and talk to people here. With the support here, I concentrated on remembering what I had done in the past to cheer myself up, and ended up making bread. After that, it was one more thing, and one more, and I was able to drag myself back out of it.
The other thing that helped me was to remember that I had been depressed before, and had gotten out of it. Remembering that it's not forever, and I have survived it before, was really helpful. Is this your first depression?
