Wepow, good for you for standing up to your father! I am sorry about the news with your mom. I feel for you. I felt similarly when I got the news about my dad's lung cancer. My mom has been sickly my whole life, and told us at least three times that she had cancer (as far as I know she never actually had it). When my dad was diagnosed and died a few months later, it felt (and still feels) so unreal, and so unfair. I am so very sorry.
