Hi, i used to use a lot of Ecstasy and binge drink all through the weekends, I also felt some sense of loss when the Euphoria of the ecstasy had gone. I felt empty and as if all the love had gone from my life. Ecstacy made everything simple while I was high and put me in a frame of mind that I can only describe as being like heaven or bliss. Trouble is ecstacy floods your brain with feel good chemicals as your neurotransmitters start firing overtime. The downside of that is when the ecstacy leaves your systems it can actually cause deficiencies and make you depressed, especially if you have other problems in your life. Having feelings of depression will make you feel hopeless and empty and add to your excessive use because you simply dont want to come back to reality. Even binge drinking excessively over a few days can lead to physical dependance, which means you will eventually have to rattle after your binge was is incredibly dangerous (I have done this many times) or keep drinking to keep your symptoms at bay, resulting in full blown alcoholism. I have used drugs for years and they are dangerous. I would recomend speaking to your doctor if you are feeling depressed and have a break from the binging. If you are binging even though you say you wont, it is causing you problems and against your better judgment you just cant say no, then you have a substance abuse problem my friend and I would advise speaking to a substance abuse practitioner to address the reasons why you are using and to help you get a handle on it. I hope you get sorted. Take care
