telling therapists is a personal choice. I have told my last two therapists (one past one and my present one) any time I am in an on line support or therapy group. This way they can read my posts and threads any time they want, this way they also know the types of resourses that I am using to help myself, and by my telling them about my on line support and therapy groups they can check the sites out for their own use or for use with other clients. I can also tell you that my present therapist is glad that I have and use the resourse of on line support and therapy group and she is a member of and or visits at least one of my on line resourses and she has never abused knowing that I am a member of that site and so on. My past therapist and I would hold some of our sessions at the local library and I helped her register for a support group that I was a member of so that she could have access to that site for other clients and for seeing my posts and threads. and she too was glad that I am in on line groups and has never abused knowing who I was on the groups and so on.
