i have talked to clinics and a gov agency on sliding fee scale. i told them i am unemployed still looking for a job but can not pay for anything since i have no means of money. oh my god, they did not get that. they explained to me what the sliding fee scale entails and i said if no income means no income coming in whatsoever from any source, how could you expect a customer/patient to pay for anything when youw ere told they have zero income not coming from any source?

the lady on the phone didn't seem to get it! the way how it works in AZ is in order to be part of their discount program is you have to sit down with a financial counselor (really?!), bring in paperwork that they tell you, and they determine if you will be approved or not - how ridiculous is that?! AZ has NO FREE CLINICS WHATSOEVER! i have checked and researched a lot and asked the lady on the phone she confirmed AZ has no free clinics.

no, i can not go out of state for a free clinic again you need money. i am using my boyfriend's address because my parents don't know i get help from the state yet they are the ones who said go to the state yet change their minds saying u want the gov to control ur life forever? they are not helping so i don't see why they are concern about where i am getting the help from when they said they dont care about their kids. no, my boyfriend can not help either because he is unemployed and no insurance like us.

someone told me to check out metlife, they are not available in AZ so much for that. sliding fee scale is confusing i told the lady on the phone that sounds contradicting to me, she hurried up and change the conversation i said sounds like the gov can't distinguish between no income and low income as no income means no money whatsoever from any source as low income is poverty level barely getting some kind of money.

the state here is very limited on what they will pay and won't pay. therapy sessions they don't really do that unless you are on medication where you can do group therapy as it doesn't say that in the member book with specific details! you have to call and get these answers from them. they will pay for adult adhd/add testing that i will do but need to have the behavior section give me a referral and speak to a therapist for 2 hours.

the only way you can get "free help" is if you are homeless and have to show proof you are staying in a shelter. id rather not go down that route...
