Sweetie, you're right. You cannot just "get over" depression. But people who are depressed often push people away without knowing it. We are hard to be around, unfortunately. What we NEED is help -- therapy. Can you see a therapist? It would be very helpful if you could see one, and get to the root of your depression. If you cannot afford it, see if you qualify for medicaid -- go to your local Social Services office and apply for Medicaid. They will pay for therapy and then you can get some counseling! But if you do not qualify for medicaid, at least see your doctor. He CAN help you by putting you on an antidepressant -- it doesn't have to be forever -- perhaps just temporarily until you can get over the hump. I know most of us don't like being on medication, but sometimes it's necesssary. I'm on an antidepressant and it doesn't change WHO I am -- it just makes me more "even" so I'm not so depressed! It's much better for me. I can face life much better.

Please get some help -- You won't regret it. God bless. Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!
