(((Sway1022))),
Yes, I experience this as well, it is a part of the PTSD and yes I know it is frustrating.
I basically do my best to be patient with myself and take my time tracing what about the situation caused me to react the way you are discribing. And I can even get snappy and short tempered just because I get frustrated with it.
All I have been able to trace it to is something that I struggled with in the past and burried the emotions somehow. Yes, I hear you is can be so much work and embarassing and very hard to explain that you can't always "just" quickly think it away and rebound in a normal way. Be patient with yourself, this really is normal to PTSD. Hey, it is a lot of work to slowly work through PTSD and only someone else who is working through it can truely relate to how much of a challenge it really is.
Welcome to PC. I hope you can find some ease now, knowing you are not alone with this. We all work together here supporting each other as we CAN relate to the very real struggle with PTSD.
What I keep saying is to "have patience with yourself, and be kind to yourself, no matter what". It is the key to getting through the difficult symptoms/challenges that come with PTSD.
