Thanks Lizard Lady. I am looking into getting a second opinion although my insurance will not pay for it. I have heard all the disadvantages of surgery, oh boy, it is not my first choice by any means. I know that it is not a cure all and in fact may not do anything or could make the other discs flare up. Guess that is why I am so depressed.

I am feeling lots of anxiety over this right now. I can barely walk, let alone get my daily life activities done. It's hard to depend on my dad but I told him that he needs to help me out. I did have a short stint of physical therapy but I am not any better. Unfortunately even if I wanted to continue with the PT, insurance will not pay for it. It's crazy isn't it?...they will pay for an operation but not for physical therapy which is less of a cost outlay.

Doc gave me a DVD on the procedure but I still can't make up my mind. I would rather go the non surgery route, who wouldn't but I don't think it's going to get better in fact I am feeling worse. Wish I had a crystal ball so I could see into the future.
