Alcohol does not mix well with bipolar. Even though I have pretty much given it up, I will still occasionally try to celebrate some event, most recently my anniversary, with wine. One evening of drinking equals 2+ days of trying to get my mood back in order. It really isn't worth it. Trying to live a healthy lifestyle is the way to go. Personally I prefer the couch potato lifestyle, but I do try to get some exercise and eat healthy. It does make things better.
