This may sound really boring to you, but what keeps me from going nuts is doing crosswords. You can get the really easy ones if you like or the harder ones. But it keeps my mind off my troubles, but it keeps me busy and sitting down. Before long, an hour or two or even longer has passed, and i haven't thought of anything negative! Might sound nuts to some but it works for me!
Or you can get "word searches" or any other of those type books. It works the same way -- keeps you busy and sitting and not "thinking."
