My reaction to Wellbutrin was the first sign that I wasn't 'merely' depressed......it threw me into a horrendous dysphoric mania that turned me into a raging (rhymes with 'itch'). Of course I didn't know that at the time, so when I went back to it after a few months off (having become a pathetic pile of melted custard in the interim) and it happened again, I figured out that maybe.......just maybe.....WB wasn't the med for me. Now it's forever on my allergies list, with the note that "Pt. became manic and psychotic".
