I had some pretty serious withdrawals from Lexapro when I went off of it and the effects kicked in faster than I thought they would. I bet is was 3 or 4 days of starting to taper off and I was super light headed all the time, shaky and had a worse headache than usual. I didn't seem to get irritable, however. I had a good month of feeling like that until it was better and I tapered off over the course of only 2 weeks.
