Is there any way that you misinterpreted what she was saying to you? Like, she was being a smart-alec?? Not that being a smart-alec is okay, it isn't, but it's certainly better than being unethical! If you two have been working together for a long time, and normally have a good relationship, I'd recommend e-mailing the T your interpretation of what she said and how that makes you feel. Be clear and honest!
