Glad your party went well!
I sometimes have issues with planning as well. Things like I'll get nervous to call a restaurant to make reservations because... I am not even sure what the because is. I think I have some sort of social issue but my attitude is to try and push through and have a 'just do it' attitude because it's been so very rare that my idea of how a social situation is going to go comes true.
Not saying that's easy, but that kind of sounds like what you did. Even if you need some help to make plans, that's okay, you got it done and sounds like it was a good time. All you can do is try and remember this time, next time.
