Hey Tinkerbell, I am sorry you are having a tough time right now. What a fantastic mum you sound.
I think schools are really well geared up to give the right support to children these days, especially those who may need additional support - so I guess once your daughter has had the assessments, she will be able to get that support in place.
I cry in front of my kids sometimes - I spoke with my T about it and his view is that it is not a terrible thing to do and that it is iimportant for kids to see adults express emotions and then see them "recover" again. I tell my kids when they cry, that it is fine and that God wouldn't have given us tears if they weren't meant to come out from time to time.
My youngest is in the process of being assessed as he is "unusual", I know how hard it can be for a mum, just wanting the very best for them and being ill equipped to deal with something where there may be special needs.
