So today my boss (who usually is telling me how I fail,) let me know that she is impressed with how I handled very complex patients while she and the other educator were out. I was able to help a patient overcome a low blood glucose and also help a patient who needed assistance with finding tape for his insulin pump.
Well, she said today that I could become a diabetes educator if I had the schooling. But, that's not the best compliment. The best compliment was she also told this to her boss.
So Ha! I'm not an idiot after all! I wish I could afford schooling (need at least a bachelors degree,) to be a diabetes educator. I would love to help people. And because my dad has really bad complications due to diabetes, I am passionate about it....
