to me stability is when you're no longer obsessing over your mental health issues, and you go day in and day out without being too symptomatic. a sign of stability is when you begin to turn to having relationships, and begin focusing on other parts of your life that you weren't able to even grasp when you were unstable. when you feel up to working on the parts of your life effectively that you couldn't before. that's how i see it.
