I would try some other medications and definitely lots of exercise before you ever consider electroshock therapy, get a second opinion PLEASE!! Effexor was the worst drug that I was ever prescribed, the side effects were horrible, I guess it's a surprise that anyone gets relief from it--head spinning withdrawals while I was behind the wheel of a car did it for me!!
