I was finding FB to be more of a bragging page for most, a marketing tool for many and a heated political arena...plus, i could only stand so many religious posts.
it became the page of haves and have nots. Ugh.
It stopped being lovely/fun keeping in touch. The fun factor wore off. And the being there for others became a burden...somebody always raising funds for their charity projects, kids, pet projects.
The one blessing was that we could be there for our friend who really needed us while he was battling cancer and then dying and sadly, ultimately losing that battle. He needed us, and we were there. Nothing like finding out a friend died on FB though
When the dust settled, I didnt want to be there anymore...that along with everyone else's "stuff" .... *sigh*
There was not one single person on that page except for one or two that i consider a true friend. And we talk on the phone and see each other when we can anyway.
