Tinker, the people I worry about are those who DON'T think they are "evil." Those who think they are morally superior. They have nothing left to work on. They don't see their short comings etc. It is they who are usually the most hurtful and inconsiderate.
The fact that you are even concerned about being "evil" implies you do not want to be "evil." Which is a characteristic of a good person. It shows you care enough and pay enough attention to want to change and be a better person. We are all human with undesirable impulses, inclination and motives at times. We are human.
Ironically, the pain and convictions you have about your own "evil" is the very QUALITY that drives you to be the good person everyone else can see you are but yourself.
The amazing thing about good people is that they typically don't realize they are, it's just natural for them. They don't consider their good acts as anything special. They have a sensitive conscious that is continually aware of their immoral imperfections, which is a good thing imo.
