I've been there, and some days still am, but giving up isn't an option.
What helps me was to find one good thing each day and write it down.

If it's all in your head, give you brain a rest and expect less from yourself and nothing from anyone else.

As it goes, the nice thing about the future is that it hasn't happened yet.

Perhaps make tomorrow the day you celebrate having matching socks, even if they are not clean. If you can't find matching socks, celebrate that you have socks.
