Hey, I am eating oatmeal most every morning now!

Payne, I'm going to talk to my pdoc about statins. Believe it or not he does NOT push drugs! My PCP pushes meds. She's the one who put me on statins to begin with.
I've been on statins for several years now. Without them my total cholesterol is around 300. When I take my statin it's in the "normal" range. I eat the right foods. I exercise. I can't keep it at a healthy level without the med. I have a family history of heart attacks and strokes.
Can someone direct me to some information about statins not being preventive and their dangers?
