Hi ~ Everyone is different, so no one knows how one person will react to any medication. Some people react just fine to a medication, while the other will have loads of problems with it.
I haven't had any problems with most antidepressants. But many people have side effects. From the people I have talked to (and that's alot) I find that most people do well on Cymbalta. That seems to have the least side effects, just from the folks I've talked to. But that doesn't mean that it DOESN'T have side effects! I'm sure there are people who have had trouble with it.
I'm on Cymbalta and I take 60mg twice a day. It works very well for me.
One thing to remember is that antidepressants take awhile to work! They do NOT work immediately! Some take as long as 6 WEEKS to work while meds like Cymbalta take about 2=3 weeks to work. So you have to be patient. Do NOT stop taking them while you're waiting for them to work, cause you COULD have some nasty side effects if you do. Stoppiing them cold-turkey while you're waiting for them to take effect could cause some problems, so just keep taking them until they begin working.
I'm sure you'll feel MUCH better once they take effect! I wish you the very best - and will you let us know when they work? I'd really like to know how you feel. And keep posting in the meantime of course too.
