It is night time here...bed time...and I have realised that when my pdoc prescribed me a new sleeping tablet today I forgot to ask about possible interactions with my other meds. I never realised the importance of this until I was in hospital (medical) in January and was given Maxalon for nausea. I couldn't explain the strange symptoms I had, but 1 doc was onto it and realised quickly what was wrong. Soooo, onto the here and now. I take several diferent meds...quetiapine, clonazapam (weaning off as new med takes affect), sodium valporate, venlafaxine, sometimes naprosyn but not regularly, and from today for a couple of weeks zopiclone/imovane. I used to take imovane but without all the other drugs. Are there any known drug interactions between the imovane and the other meds that anyone know of??? And even better, if anyone happens to read this before I take them tonight?!?! Even if I do sign off early I will give it a go for tonight and see how I feel. I have tried looking up info on the net but the computer keeps blocking the downloads...good computer for being a good 'guard dog' but bad for me not getting any info. Sorry I have blabbed on, probably about totally unnecessary stuff, for so long. Hope someone got the gist of this though, maybe jerry (?!). Thanks, irish

Imovane (Zopiclone(ZOP-i-klone) is a sedative/hypnotic available in Canada. There are no serious drug interactions, however you may experience more sedation in combination with the valporate, quetiapine and clonazapam. Do not combine any of these medications with alcohol.

You should be fine. If you do notice some unusual side effects, call your pharmacist and/or doctor right away.

Hope this helps!

Jerry
